This data and information range from initial observations and measurements to analyzed content and reports. Three different terms are used to identify the stages of this data and information.
What is an Assumption Log?
An assumption log is a document that a project manager and project team utilize to capture, record, and track assumptions on a project throughout its life cycle. Assumptions play a significant role in every project, and it should be no surprise that an assumption is considered essential information on which project plans and decisions are made. Assumptions typically require some follow-up or validation to determine whether they will impact the project.

What are EEFs?
EEFs, which stands for Enterprise Environmental Factors, are similar to Organizational Process Assets (OPAs) in project management in that they provide the background in planning the project. Unlike OPAs, EEFs are generally outside the control of the project manager and project team. Examples of EEFs that are external to the organization include governmental rules and regulations that apply to the operating organization.
