Introduction

I decided to split up my website and form a personal blog section separate from my project management blog. I aim to create a central location for all the knowledge and wisdom I’ve accumulated over the past 38 years. I am strongly influenced by topics in business, psychology, Buddhism, Christianity, Stoicism, and much more. Anyone that knows me well can tell you I’m a bit of a self-improvement junkie, and I love deep, meaningful conversations about the philosophy of life. As an introvert, I love studying, reading, and writing; although I’m not a professional at any of these, I enjoy them. Here I will share my humble perspective on life and how I overcame and am still overcoming life’s problems. I want to share the adopted methods that keep me motivated daily. I can’t promise these methods will work for you, but I hope at least it makes you think about improving your life. Everyone suffers; that’s a universal part of life that is unavoidable. But I believe we can overcome some of that suffering with the right mindset and perspective. This blog will not be about how my life is better than yours (because it’s not) or one that only points to the silver lining in every situation. Being positive is not a weakness, but sometimes you must wear your practical pants to succeed. I consider myself a realist who relies on much introspection to gain the proper perspective before taking action, and this will be a place for me to store my thoughts. Okay, I hope I haven’t already scared you off just yet! Let’s get going!
